此藏品为中华民国三十一年廿分钱币，重5g，直径2.39cm。中华民国三十一年廿分镍币是民国二十九年〔公元1940年〕国民政府追加孙中山为国父，并先后于41年、42年铸造此币种，以此纪念。
中华民国三十一年”（款）钱币，正面为孙中山先生侧面像和民国纪年“中华民国三十一年”，背面为布币图及面值“廿分”。制作精美，图案考究，文字清秀，其貌可人，具有一定的保值和升值功能。图案设计精美，字体清秀。正面图案沿用的是孙中山先生的侧面像，背面为中国传统的古布币图案正背两面沿边雕回行纹。镍当时是比较贵重的一种金属发行孙像镍币就是等于替换当时的银元。
