“烧月亮房”是从朝鲜族人民农耕生产生活和祭祀祈福等活动中形成而来的，人们以月亮为依据从事农耕生活，非常崇拜月亮，尤其是在新的一年月亮第一次变圆的上元节（元宵节），会组织村民参加“望月”与“烧月亮房”等民俗活动，期盼月亮保佑新年吉祥、安康、和谐和一切圆满幸福。

"Moon House Burning" is formed from the Korean people's farming life, sacrifices, prays and other activities. People engage in farming based on the moon and worship the moon very much, especially when the moon turns full for the first time in the new year，which is Lantern Festival. On the Lantern Festival, villagers will be organized to participate in folk activities such as "Watching the Moon" and "Burning the Moon House", hoping that the moon will bless the New Year with auspiciousness, well-being, harmony and happiness.

据了解，2012年，该活动被列入吉林省非物质文化遗产名录中。“烧月亮房”民俗活动包括民俗表演和‘月亮房’祭拜仪式，传承和发扬传统民俗文化。

In 2012, the event was included in the intangible cultural heritage list of Jilin Province. “Moon House Burning” folk activities include folk performances and “moon house” worship rituals, inheriting and carrying forward the traditional folk culture.
