刚结束的清明节小假期，“清明节”英文怎么说？是Qingming Festival吗？
一、“清明节”不用festival
你们知道吗，只有清明节，既是节气又是节日。这个传统的中国节日+节气，许多外媒却用的是Qingming Festival，如果你在谷歌是输入【qingming】，也会出来一堆qingming festival，这是不准确的。

这就得从festival这个词的含义说起：
festival有两层含义
1.宗教的祭祀活动

又因为清明节许多人都会扫墓，所以又可以叫

清明节的一项重要活动就是祭祀，祭祀就要“烧纸钱”，那么问题来了，“纸钱”英文怎么说？
你不会说成paper money吧？那你真是土豪没错了，因为：
paper money表示 纸质的货币（是给人花的）
metal money 金属货币
Paper money is the opposite of metal money.
纸质货币是与金属货币相对的。
而我们说的"纸钱"，是给去世的人花的
