北京时间7月3日，F1英国大奖赛首圈，发车阶段周冠宇与拉塞尔、加斯利相撞发生事故，周冠宇赛车翻出赛道。赛会出示红旗中止比赛。
根据阿尔法罗密欧车队官方消息，周冠宇目前已经离开赛车，人无大碍，将前往医疗中心进行进一步检查。
