IT之家 2 月 8 日消息，Windows 和 macOS 端谷歌 Chrome 浏览器在自动填写支付信息之前，可以选择进行指纹等生物识别确认。谷歌昨天宣布了新的 Credential Manager API，允许用户在填充密码前通过指纹进行认证。

Credential Manager API 将应用程序的所有可用登录方法聚合到一个列表中，同时对同一账户的条目删除重复数据。这种简化使用户可以专注于选择账户，而无需了解底层登录技术。
这让 Android 应用程序开发人员通过支持用户名 / 密码、联合登录解决方案（如使用 Google 登录）和密钥来“简化用户的身份验证过程”。该 API 目前处于 alpha 阶段。
