2025年2月6日，据Thelec报道，LG新能源（LG Energy Solution）将为特斯拉新款Model Y供应2170电池。新电池的电芯容量为5300毫安时，相较于此前的5000毫安时提升了6%。该电池将在LG新能源位于中国南京的工厂生产，并供应至特斯拉上海超级工厂。此外，由于柏林超级工厂附近没有电池生产设施，德国生产的Model Y也将使用上海超级工厂组装的电池组。这意味着在中国和德国生产的新款Model Y都将采用LG新能源的电池。
