王进健代表市委、市政府向参访团一行来扬考察对接合作表示欢迎，并简要介绍了扬州经济社会发展情况。他说，扬州既是历史文化名城，也是产业科创名城。当前，扬州正扎实推进“三个名城”建设，突出产业科创名城主攻方向，聚力培育科技企业主体、建强科技创新平台、完善科创金融体系，城市科创生态持续优化，现代化产业体系加快构建，奋力在发展新质生产力上走在前列，确保“十五五”开好局、起好步。

参访团团长、钟山公司董事长、香港江苏科创中心董事长史先召感谢扬州的热情接待。他表示，香港江苏科创中心紧扣“研发在香港、应用在江苏”与“需求在江苏、研发在香港”双向定位，致力构建“孵化与协作空间平台、区域协同平台、资本服务平台、人才引育平台、国际服务平台”五位一体的科创生态体系。作为苏港协同创新的重要平台，中心将及时把握此次参访契机，系统导入国际科创及金融资源，精准推动更多优质资本、技术、人才在扬州集聚、转化、扎根，助力扬州本土优质企业高质量出海。

On August 5, Wang Jinjian, Secretary of the Yangzhou Municipal Party Committee, met with a delegation from Hong Kong specializing in science, technology, and finance. The two sides held in-depth discussions on how to further enhance the two-way cooperation in science, technology, and finance between Yangzhou and Hong Kong, and work together to create a model for industrial-financial collaboration between Jiangsu and Hong Kong. On behalf of the Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government, Wang Jinjian welcomed the delegation coming to Yangzhou for inspection and cooperation, and briefly introduced the economic and social development of Yangzhou. He said Yangzhou is not only a city of historical and cultural significance, but also a hub for industrial and technological innovation. Currently, Yangzhou is steadily advancing the construction of the "Three Famous Cities," highlighting the main direction of industrial and technological innovation cities, focusing on cultivating technology enterprise entities, strengthening innovation platforms, and improving the science and technology innovation financial system. The city's science and technology innovation ecosystem is continuously being optimized, a modern industrial system is being rapidly built, and efforts are being made to take the lead in developing new quality productive forces, ensuring a strong start and progress in the "15th Five-Year Plan."
Wang Jinjian stated that Hong Kong is a globally renowned international financial hub and a source of cutting-edge technological innovation. Yangzhou has a complete industrial chain and rich application scenarios, a solid foundation for cooperation with Hong Kong, complementary resources and broad space for collaborative development between the two places. This delegation gathered elites and a strong lineup, bringing together leading figures from academic education, science and technology innovation finance, and industrial investment, providing Yangzhou with a valuable opportunity to connect with high-end international resources. He hopes to take this visit as a new starting point, fully rely on platforms such as the Hong Kong Jiangsu Science and Technology Innovation Center, proactively connect with innovation resources in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and further deepen the two-way integration of science and technology finance between Yangzhou and Hong Kong. We warmly welcome more cutting-edge Hong Kong scientific and technological innovation achievements to be implemented and transformed in Yangzhou, as well as more venture capital institutions and industrial capital to deeply cultivate Yangzhou's advantageous tracks. Yangzhou will make every effort to create a first-class business environment, providing comprehensive support for the establishment of scientific and technological innovation projects and Hong Kong-funded institutions, and jointly creating a demonstration model for Jiangsu-Hong Kong industrial integration.
Shi Xianzhao, head of the delegation, Chairman of Zhongshan Company, and Chairman of Hong Kong Jiangsu Science and Technology Innovation Center, thanked Yangzhou for its warm hospitality. He stated that the Hong Kong Jiangsu Science and Technology Innovation Center closely follows the dual positioning of "R&D in Hong Kong, applied in Jiangsu" and "demand in Jiangsu, R&D in Hong Kong," striving to build a five-in-one innovation ecosystem of "incubation and collaboration space platform, regional collaboration platform, capital service platform, talent introduction and nurturing platform, and international service platform." As an important platform for Jiangsu-Hong Kong collaborative innovation, the center will promptly seize the opportunity of this visit, systematically introduce international science and technology innovation and financial resources, precisely promote the gathering, transformation, and rooting of more high-quality capital, technology, and talent in Yangzhou, and help local high-quality enterprises go global with high quality.
Wei Mingde, member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), Chairman of the Council of City University of Hong Kong, member of the Hong Kong Legislative Council, and Chairman of the Hong Kong Financial Association; Xue Yongheng, former Secretary for Innovation and Technology of the Hong Kong SAR Government and JP of the Peace; and Fan Man Wah, member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and Vice President of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong, spoke in succession. They unanimously stated that Yangzhou and Hong Kong have strong complementary resources and broad cooperation space, and will actively play their respective roles as bridges and links in university research, technological innovation, and business sectors, promoting higher-level complementary advantages and win-win outcomes between the two regions, and demonstrating greater achievements in implementing Jiangsu-Hong Kong cooperation plans and linking the Yangtze River Delta and Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao national strategies.
