On October 14, young elites from American think tanks, universities and industries arrived in Guiyang to launch "Shanghai Nanjing Plus" 2026: Exploring Perspectives on China-US Relations. That evening, the launch ceremony was held in Guiyang.
本届活动以“共对挑战，共创未来：多元视角下的中美民间交流”为主题，由上海国际问题研究院与南京大学-约翰斯·霍普金斯大学中美文化研究中心联合举办，贵州省外事办公室协办。
Themed "Facing Challenges Together, Creating the Future Together: China-US People-to-People Exchange from Diverse Perspectives," the program is organized by the Shanghai Institutes for International Studies and The Johns Hopkins University-Nanjing University Center for Chinese and American Studies, and supported by the Foreign Affairs Office of Guizhou Province.

启动仪式由南京大学-约翰斯·霍普金斯大学中美文化研究中心中方主任李晓蓉主持，中华人民共和国外交部北美大洋洲司公使衔参赞赖波、贵州省外办副主任罗煜、美国驻广州总领事馆领事张帅、上海国际问题研究院院长陈东晓等中外嘉宾分别致辞。
The launch ceremony was hosted by Li Xiaorong, Chinese Co-Director of The Johns Hopkins University-Nanjing University Center for Chinese and American Studies. Lai Bo, Minister-Counselor of the Department of North American and Oceanian Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China; Luo Yu, Deputy Director-General of the Foreign Affairs Office of the Guizhou Provincial People's Government; Shobhit Kumar, Consul and Political Unit Chief of the U.S. Consulate General in Guangzhou; and Chen Dongxiao, President of the Shanghai Institutes for International Studies, delivered speeches.
各方表示，贵州在基础设施建设、数字发展、乡村振兴等领域取得的成就，是中国式现代化的生动缩影；中美关系对世界和平与发展具有深远影响，双方应相互尊重、携手同行，实现合作共赢。
The speakers noted that Guizhou's achievements in infrastructure development, digital development and rural revitalization are a vivid epitome of Chinese modernization. They stressed that China-US relations have a profound impact on world peace and development, and that the two sides should respect each other, work together and pursue win-win cooperation.

此外，与会嘉宾进一步指出，中美关系的未来在于年轻一代，希望通过此次实地调研与对话交流，增进两国青年之间的相互理解与信任，为中美关系健康稳定发展厚植民意基础。
Guests further noted that the future of China-US relations lies in the younger generation. They expressed the hope that through this field research and dialogue, mutual understanding and trust between young people of the two countries will be enhanced, laying a solid public foundation for the healthy and stable development of China-US relations.
据了解，“双城+｜2026探索中美关系多元视角”活动从贵州出发，通过实地调研与对话交流，增进中美青年之间的相互理解与信任。在黔期间，考察团将赴花江峡谷大桥、晴隆二十四道拐、金元社区、阿云朵仓等地，感受贵州基层治理与历史文化。
The "Shanghai Nanjing Plus" 2026: Exploring Perspectives on China-US Relations program starts from Guizhou, aiming to enhance mutual understanding and trust between Chinese and American youth through field research and dialogue. During their stay in Guizhou, the delegation will visit the Huajiang Canyon Bridge, the Twenty-Four Turns in Qinglong County, Jinyuan Community and Ayunduocang to experience grassroots governance and local history and culture in Guizhou.
